Amaszonas now flying to ArequipaThe airline Amaszonas started its new route La Paz – Arequipa, boosting tourism and strengthening to strengthen trade ties between the regions of Bolivia and Peru.

The inaugural flight delegation was headed by Ambassador of Peru in Bolivia, Silvia Alfaro, retired General, Fernando Sanjinés Amaszonas chairman, representatives of tourist agencies and media in the country, which were received by the Mayor Arequipa, Alfredo Zegarra in Alfredo Rodriguez Ballon International Airport.

Alfaro said that “this is a concrete result, flying to Bolivian and Peruvian Arequipa, Arequipa leaving Bolivia, I think it is a result of integration and is a private enterprise effort that we greet and encourage tourism market economic commercial”.

Meanwhile, Sanjinés said “we strengthen our bonds of brotherhood more from Peru – Bolivia and most importantly, we want to provide a service and engage with people from Arequipa to take tourism forward in the best way”.

Arequipa Mayor highlighted the importance of these flights and said “tourist commercial cultural exchange is essential for both export and import products of Arequipa and La Paz that can help economic growth between the two countries”.

In principle, there will be flights three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The goal is to reach seven per week and the promotional price of the ticket is $99 each way, which is a promotional rate for 60 days.

Arequipa is the third most visited city in Peru with about one and half million tourists a year, its attractions are its architecture and fascinating geography, with Misti as sentinel hill landscape.
